Path Leads to Clarksville

To quote Pastor Jeff, "Following Jesus isn’t always the kind of cut and dry journey that I would assume it to be. It is a journey that requires moment by moment willingness to move in accordance with the movement of God, the instruction of the church and our personal calling in God."

We have changed our direction slightly due to God's movement in Clarksville and His leading of our hearts. God has already laid the ground work for a inner city Church in Clarksville through initiatives led by Pastor Jeff and First Church of the Nazarene. The work is unfinished, and honestly, it would be selfish for us to abandon the completion of a church plant in Clarksville to start work in Nashville. This is a wonderful shift in our plans. Clarksville is a smaller challenge than Nashville will be and we will have the oversight of First Church and the wisdom of its elders to guide us through the process. It will be an amazing learning experience to which we are looking toward with excitement. Please pray that God continues to guide our hearts in His direction keeping our focus on His path which lies immediately before us without looking so far ahead that we lose sight of His purposes. We will still move toward Nashville, but not until He is finished using us for His work in Clarksville.

So we are leaving tomorrow morning for Clarksville in order to look for houses. I also have a couple of interviews lined up. We would appreciate your prayers. There are a lot of worries and concerns and doubts which attempt to overtake us daily. We know that God will provide as He always has, but our human minds are weak. Pray for strength and wisdom and mercy for us as we look for the home and job He already has set up for us. Thank you so much for being there with us in spirit. There is great encouragement in fellowship. We love you all!
